X Games on ESPN
X Games Austin, TX
Like many other people, I used to watch the X Games in my bedroom on T.V. Once I moved into Austin, it was as if the stars aligned because they were hosting the event.
The X Games is an extreme sports competition ranging from skateboarding to BMX. However, since the summer games are held in June that’s not good when you live in hot ass Texas.
My experience wearing jeans was not good. The humidity kept rising and made it rough to enjoy the games outdoors. Some of the athletes had a tough time adjusting and required breaks for shade periodically. My favorite event of course had to of been Big Air Skateboard. You’re talking about being over a hundred feet in the air on a skateboard, performing a trick to then land on all wheels. That’s intense.
G-Eazy and Rapper Logic were set to perform later that night to end the games. Unfortunately, their performances had to be cancelled due to lightning and thunderstorms. I learned that Texas sure does have some bi-polar weather.
It’s my first summer in Austin.
