Visit Las Vegas
Las Vegas Hotels, Shows, and Things to Do
Each time I get back home from Vegas my body takes a little longer to recover. Now, I’m finally caught up on sleep after spending this past weekend out there. I probably slept a total of 10 hours from Friday night into Monday morning. Only in Vegas!
Man, this quarantine life hasn’t been easy. I needed a little R&R, so Las Vegas sounded good to me. Flights are cheap right now ($60 RT) so I said why not?
I just wished that the people sitting in front of me didn’t talk the entire flight there so loudly! This party group occupied three consecutive rows and had brought their grandma to Vegas for the first time.
I couldn’t take a nap at all.
Mandalay Bay Hotel Las Vegas
I booked my room at Mandalay Bay for the view to Allegiant Stadium. R-A-I-D-E-R-S! I went downstairs to the pool area and it was blazing hot outside at 108. I needed to make a reservation prior and the wait took an hour to get inside. Then, I had to wear my mask outside in the heat. That didn’t sit to well with me. The pool staff outside always kept enforcing that masks be worn as they walked around checking.
I will however say that the pool at Mandalay Bay is worth checking out. It has a paradise feel and that made it perfect for me as I drank. The hotel’s golden features make an iconic backdrop as you look at it or take pictures too.
Cosmopolitan Hotel
I urge you to go to Secret Pizza and order the white pie. It bubbles with ricotta cheese and just tastes gooey. It should be on the third floor if I’m not mistaken.
I noticed that the Cosmopolitan had more visitors. Keep that in mind if you’re ever in town. Several ladies will be sitting at the slot machines.
The strip currently doesn’t have many people on it or interest due to Coronavirus unfortunately like once before. Various hotels are keeping tabs if tourists are always wearing masks. It made it a different experience for sure.
