Las Vegas

I went to Vegas with my friends as an early birthday present for myself. I didn’t have to pay for the flight, but apparently my friends had something up their sleeves. Once I landed into McCarran International Airport, it was game time.

SlotZilla Zip Line

I don’t do heights. I don’t even like rollercoasters. I hate the way they make me feel queasy and your private parts seem like their moving while on rides.

Slotzilla, is a zip line experience that’s located in downtown Las Vegas 15 minutes from the airport on Fremont Street. It’s distance from start to finish is over 800 feet and tickets are less than $30. You walk up 10 flights of stairs just to reach it.

As you can image, my friends took me here. The staff working there looked like they were still in high school. I put on the body harness that went through my legs and upper body. They made me put all my valuables in a duffel bag and clipped it onto my harness. Before we zip lined, of course I asked for my harness to be double checked. I have watched the movie, “Final Destination.” Despite my complaining, it was awesome!

What’s cool is that Fremont Street sits at a historical site that booming with entertainment off the Vegas strip. They have Viva Vision, the largest video screen in the world measuring at 1,375 feet long and 90 feet wide as it’s up above your head. It’s bigger than the T.V. at AT&T Stadium where the Cowboys play.

Secret Pizza

Go to the Cosmopolitan hotel and walk toward floor three. There’s a pizza parlor called Secret Pizza that’s Hella good. Ask someone in the hotel where it’s located at. Once they point you in the right direction, it’s going to be seemed like you’re in a maze. It takes 10 minutes to get there. Order the white pie, it’s going to rock your socks. It may very well be the best pizza you have in your life.

Allegiant Stadium

The Raider’s new home looks dope. It reminds me of the Death Star from the movie “Star Wars.” It’s all black but shiny. You won’t be able to go inside of course because it’s still under construction. However, up the road there’s an area called Town Square and they have a preview center. Inside, it has every Raider memorabilia you can think of. This includes the equipment used back in the 1960’s and their actual Superbowl rings in a class cabinet. The best part is the interactive map for the new stadium. You can play with it and see the finished stadium. R-A-I-D-E-R-S- !

What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas

I’m from the Bay, of course we had fun!
