Tubing in the ATX

Comal River Tubing

This past weekend I finally had the chance to go tubing on a river. Check out this spot called Comal River Tubing. You’ll have to make a reservation over the phone otherwise don’t bother showing up.

I arrived here at 11:30AM but didn’t get onto the bus for a ride until two hours later. I recommend showing up earlier than that.

I brought my mask to wear, but it seemed like nobody cared about the Coronavirus. No one wore masks on the river.

The admission fee which includes the round-trip bus ride is $22. There’s limited parking and no bathroom on site which sucked. Keep that in mind before you start pre-gaming.

You can drink on this river, but there will be signs prohibiting it towards the end of your ride. If you don’t make any stops the entire trip down, the river will run for about two hours. There are cool mansions that sit near the water you’ll enjoy seeing because it’s a family/friendly environment.

The best part about this place are the two chutes that accelerate your float down a spiral shaped slide.

Have fun!
