I’ve been living in Austin for three years (Total), but never had the chance to be on Lake Travis believe it or not. That finally changed this past Sunday, after a friend from Dallas invited onto the 3 Amigos Boat Rentals. It turned out to be legit. The math worked out for 10 people each paying $69 for a three-hour ride.

I just wished that the drive wasn’t so far. I drove through twists and turns in the morning for almost an hour. The thoughts of Jason Vorhees started to flood through my mind as I continued driving through country roads for miles.

Should you make the trip be sure to eat lunch at Shack 512. It’s about five-minutes away and faces the lake with outdoor T.V.’s. I’m coming back to eat at this place again.
