Hawaii
Welcome to Oāahu
Good morning Everyone!
I went to Hawaii for the first time and just got back. Iām so sad! Iāve been missing out on life all these years. Oāahu, what a wonderful place. The beaches, hikes, loco mocoās, ahi tuna poke, and being in tropical paradise.
Imagine an 85 degree humid weekend, and driving to different beaches for four straight days. Breakfasts kickoff with a $12 Loco Moco. Next, youāre heading to the beach with poke as lunch for $14. Then, savoring over a Spam macaroni and cheese side with all your dinners. Thatās a vacation.
Thereās a place called The Gallery you need to check out for live music. I met one of the members from Rebel SoulJahz by chance performing here. I introduced myself after the show and he bought me a drink. Mikeās a cool guy! This place had the entertainment vibes for it being a Monday.
Next, swing by the Mai Tai Beach Bar. Thatās another spot with even better live music. I watched a free music group perform called Kawao. Cocktails are only $6 on Saturday nights!
The amount of chickens youāll spot in the open is funny. Theyāre everywhere lol! The parking lots, beaches and convenient stores. That became a culture shock and fun to see.
Iāll definitely make Hawaii a yearly end of the summer trip now. Plus, iāll have the chance to explore other islands like Maui or Kauai. I donāt know why I waited so long to visit. I didnāt get to snorkel but thereās always next time. Try all the foods you canāt go wrong!
Enjoy!
Pink Pillbox Hike on Oāahu Hawaii
Letās talk about this hiking trail! I almost cried lol. I let my emotions finally relax and had a moment with life. Nature is beautiful.
NÄnÄkuli Beach Park
This became the first stop of the day. The beaches in Hawaii have my heart. Each one individually different in their own mountainous way. Perfect for daytime exploring, and scattered across different points of the island.
Manoa Falls
I drove around Hawaii with a smile on my face everyday from all the excitement lol. You really feel the energy and intensiveness from the island. I definitely had āJurassic Parkā vibes too lol.
Waikiki Beach Information
I really enjoy walking around any big city with a pair of good shoes on and roaming around. I love Waikiki for this. Kalakalua Avenue, is such an amazing bustling main street lined with palm trees. Hundreds of people are out on the streets with leis around their necks. Then, smack at the end is an Ala Moana Center. The largest open-air mall in the world for even more bars, clubs, and shopping.
Aloha Stadium | Swap Meet & Marketplace
Gosh, this place has deals. The parking is $2. A lot of items range from $5-$20. I wanted to buy everything. I liked this place a lot.
Discover Kailua Beach Park
This spot is special. The sand is powdery and soft. The water glows. Then, thereās a tension that you can feel on you. Itās weird but real. I hope you get to experience this feeling. In the distance, you can see smaller islands. I then had a moment and smiled. This ranked number two as my favorite beach.
Waimea Bay
I didnāt jump off the cliffs. I need to do it next time. I love the toasty tan sand color. Itās like Santa Monica beach. Thereās so much sand to walk on before you finally reach the ocean lol. Good luck finding parking in a small lot, but itās worth the try.
Sharkās Cove
Wow, the sunsets here are amazing. Across the street is a Foodland grocery store. I bought poke and took a shot. The water is warm but the rocks are very jagged. One bad fall and you may hurt yourself. Itās worth the risk lol. I didnāt see any sharks though.
Koolauloa, Hawaii
I have this spot ranked as my number one beach. Imagine sitting on the sand and staring at this all day. Thatās what I did lol. Itās just beautiful. I have to keep it a secret. A local told me to and it makes sense why. I wouldnāt want to see it flooded with people either. I had it to myself. Try to find it I left a clue!
