NYE 2021
24 Hours in Vegas
I’ll never wear dress shoes and walk the entire strip again. I woke up the following morning with my feet, toes and lower back sore. Vegas got me, because I was hurting.
My trip didn’t go as well planned either from the start. It took 45 minutes for an Uber driver to finally pick me up from the airport. I had to toggle between Lyft and Uber requesting and cancelling rides which became irritating. The streets in Vegas were blocked off, so I had to walk three blocks towards Excalibur Hotel & Casino in cold weather. The Cosmopolitan only allowed hotel guests to enter their casino so that meant no Secret Pizza or Hattie B’s Hot Chicken which made me sad.
Finally, once midnight struck the fireworks became nonexistent. I tell you 2020, did not disappoint. Thankfully it finally ended. I spent less than $60 on this quick trip by avoiding gambling and drinking alcohol. Until next time Vegas, I look forward to visiting Stadium Swim over at Fremont Street once the weather warms up!
I never missed my bed so much until now. I slept for 10 straight hours the following day trying to recover physically. It kinda reminded me of the movie “Hall Pass” when the guys headed into Day 4, exhausted. (Scroll to 1:05 in the clip).
