Yosemite National Park Campground Reservations

I should have visited Yosemite more than twice while growing up in California. I truly missed out on this national park because it has breathtaking views. Imagine turning off all your electronic devices for a weekend. Then staring into its vastness for hours with sounds of waterfalls in the distance. We forget sometimes how peaceful the outdoors can be.

My family and I spent the weekend camping at Spring Cove Campground, which is just South of Yosemite. That campground charged $40 a day. The public restrooms/showers were just a short walk away and nice. Our camp was positioned near Bass Lake and I highly recommend it for the view.

On the lake, there are opportunities to rent jet skis or even boats per hour. We chose to rent a boat without the slide because we had children in our party. I’m still sad about that. Throughout the day, each of us played captain and steered the boat. I didn’t see many people out on the lake so that was nice having it all to us. June may be a good time to go.

After crushing two cases of Bud Light beer, we wanted to jump into the lake and swim for a bit. That water was so damn cold it sobered each of us up.

Our campsite was only an hour away from Yosemite. We walked on marked trails and took pictures of waterfalls that weekend.

I found a ledge and just sat there enjoying the scenery.
