Best Pop UP Christmas Bars in Austin

I found this bar up in North Austin, 20 minutes from downtown through social media and decided to check it out one day. It was a bit tricky trying to find because the surrounding neighborhoods are all pitch black, welcome to Texas.

There’s no cover charge but everything inside is legit Christmas themed. And I mean everything.

Lala’s only has one bar station, and it has a huge timer right above its liquor bottles. That timer has a countdown of the months, days, and minutes until Christmas officially arrives. The whole place is covered with Christmas lights.

One cool thing Lala’s did was install and suspend several elves from its ceiling wall. Every time a guy uses the restroom or exits, the elves drop down by your face, then rise back up!

Right around the bar there’s a seven-foot pool table that accepts coins for play. Across from that same pool table, you get to see a Christmas tree with presents right under it.

Lala’s placed a big green festive couch for you to sit down and take pictures. Santa’s going to be there.

Specialty cocktails are about $15 a piece but i’d say it’s worth it. And of course, they’re all Christmas themed like “Grandma’s Boozy Eggnog”.
