9 Hours in Miami Beach - Beach Day!
City of Miami Beach | The Official Website of the City of Miami, FL
Do you remember that feeling of putting in your two-week notice at a job? I submitted mine, and it feels amazing walking into work with that smile those last remaining days. I’m off to bigger and better things now.
I booked myself a day trip flight to Miami to hit the beach. One, because it has been over a year since I last visited. Two, because the beaches in Texas take three hours by car to drive toward haha. I flew to Miami Beach for nine hours and needed a nice break.
It doesn’t matter what sunblock you use in Miami as you’re getting a sunburn regardless. That’s a friendly tip. Here are some videos from this past weekend that I hope you’ll enjoy.
Puerto Sagua - Miami Beach Restaurants
Once I Iand into Miami International, the clock starts. I buy a day pass to ride the bus for $6. I then look for bus-route 150, which takes me straight to South Beach after 40 minutes of stops. My final stop is at Washington Ave and 9th St.
I eat at Puerto Sagua which is down the block at around 10:30 AM and start realizing that it might start to become a tradition eating here now. I ate here before and enjoyed the service/food last year.
I order myself a Cuban sandwich and Cortadito, which is an expresso coffee shot that is amazing! Please try it one day. It is frothy and hits the spot.
Art Deco Historic District in Miami Beach : SouthBeach, FL
After eating breakfast, I walk around the corner and am already on Ocean Drive visiting the Art Deco District. Man, you have to see it in person yourself to believe it. This style of art fascinates me.
Soon after, I buy myself a Cuban cigar called a Cohiba Coronas Especiales, and hit South Beach. Only the finest for my lungs.
Miami Beach’s South Beach or SOBE
I didn’t let any Tropical Storms or hurricanes ruin my beach day. I spent seven hours at the beach getting sunburnt. Florida beaches really are the best. The water is so clear. I saw little fishes or tadpoles swimming near me.
Until next time Miami. You treated me well with a nice sunburn. I then leave toward the airport at 6 P.M.
